Early Works: This piece is inspired by the 1969 Moon Landing issue of National Geographic. The back cover has a advertisement that claims mouths are the weapon of obesity, a growing concern in the US even then. The portrait of Grant Wood's iconic American Gothic farmer being devoured by a larger than life mouth adds to the commentary.
